All cat puns aside, this 1969 Buick Wildcat custom sport coupe is a truly rare beauty. It’s currently up for sale by Art & Speed Classic Car Gallery in Tennessee for a reasonable $14,900. The Buick Wildcat was a full-sized automobile that was produced by Buick from 1962 until 1970. The “Wildcat” name actually came from a 1953 fiberglass-bodied concept car. The sport coupe variant offered up here is from the second-generation run of the Wildcat. Other styles included a two-door convertible, four-door sedan, and four-door hardtop.

The Buick Wildcat was the American automaker’s large and sporty car for the 1960s. It spotlighted elegant features with clean lines and a beastly V8 engine. Still a head-turner today, the Wildcat takes us back to the good ol’ days when big block motors reigned supreme and style was just as important as performance.

The 1969 Wildcat seen here has spent its entire life in the dry Oklahoma and Texas climates. It was recently refinished in its original Champagne Mist Metallic with a new black vinyl top. All of the glass, chrome bumpers, and brightwork are in great condition. The cabin appears to be all original, with acceptable wear and tear for its age. The doors, hood, and trunk function well and the windows operate with ease.
