Anyone familiar with Suzukiā€™s heritage and current crop of bikes will immediately see the resemblance to the GSX-R models. This motorcycle also borrows from the legendary Katana. The body is both sleek and athletic, making for a super attractive Suzuki. A black color scheme with silver highlights makes for a clean and simple presentation that really emphasizes the basic nature of this ride. The paint and everything else is in absolute pristine condition, too.

Ā One of the main reasons this bike works well for beginners is the 248cc parallel-twin engine. While it isnā€™t too much for someone learning to handle, itā€™s also fun enough for experienced riders, thanks to great low- and mid-range torque. Acceleration throughout the RPM range is nice and smooth, thanks in large part to the electronic fuel injection, which also boosts fuel economy. You also get a telescopic fork and preload-adjustable shock for great comfort and handling.

While the GSX250R certainly looks menacing in a way, itā€™s super comfortable to ride, thanks to the upright position it puts you in. With a 31.1-inch seat height, shorter riders can easily manage this motorcycle. The saddle is well-padded, and the controls are incredibly easy to use. An electronic screen shows al the vital information in a simple format, so you can glance quickly to see what you need.

To be clear, the Suzuki GSX250R isnā€™t a high-performance bike. Itā€™s a practical motorcycle that will last a long time, yet will still offer some fun times. Itā€™s the sensible choice and is a great way to learn to ride or get back into it after a long break. Ā
