Hotrods don't get much more unique than this one!

The recent trend toward slammed rat rods has produced some very interesting vehicles in recent years. Just take this 1936 Ford truck, for example. You're not going to find too many hotrods out there with more personality than this one when it goes up for auction in a couple weeks at the Saratoga Auto Auction.

Thanks to a new ACCU air suspension system, this truck is slammed on the ground, but raise up the air ride and this truck drives like a dream. About the only thing you can't do with this half-ton pickup is haul cargo as the bed are is taken up by the chassis and low-rider suspension components. There is a small cargo area at the rear of the bed where the battery is mounted. The air tank mounted on top of the bed is a piece of work in itself with the air lines perfectly positioned to show this was no rushed hack job.

Open the doors to reveal an incredible cabin with a quilted pattern stamped into all of the metal components. The interior has a very industrial, artsy vibe to it, and the overall build quality is superb enough that it's no surprise this truck won the Down and Dirty award at the Syracuse Nationals.

Just don't let the patina fool you. The underside of this '36 Ford is immaculate with a fully customized, hand-built chassis that is all brand new, and this truck is more than just show thanks to a 400 small-block Chevy engine and three-speed automatic that will give this rat rod plenty of go.

If you want to check out this truck or the hundreds of other vehicles being auctioned off at the Saratoga Auto Auction on September 20th and 21st, be sure to register to bid. This truck's estimated auction value is between $15,000 to $20,000, which is a great price for a fully custom, show-winning rat rod.
