Clad in a red paint job complemented by black racing stripes and a black vinyl top, the exterior looks to be in excellent condition. A strong 350cui V8 features a mild camshaft and shifts smoothly via a TH350 automatic transmission. Power front disc brakes bring the car to a stop, and power steering allows for easy maneuvering. Peek inside to a beautiful black interior complete with an AM/FM stereo and air conditioning. This bad boy has just shy of 52,000 miles on the clock.

First introduced in 1959, the El Camino was Chevy's response to the success of the Ford Ranchero. Although it was late to the party, the El Camino outsold the Ranchero by 20,000 units. The first run only lasted two years, but production resumed again from 1964-1977 and was based on the Chevelle platform. Then, it returned for a third time from 1978-1987, but this time it was given GM's G-Body platform. Basically an El Camino in GMC clothing, the Sprint made its debut in 1971 and shared the same engine and transmission.

While the El Camino appears to be a muscle car equipped with a bed, it is classified and titled as a truck in North America. This is a vintage vehicle that has the best of both worlds.

If you are in the market for a classic that can turn heads at a car show but can also transport grandma's new couch, then this El Camino may be right up your alley. Listed at $15,900, contact GR Auto Gallery today to get behind the wheel of this aggressive cult classic.
