Part of The Hine Collection and being auctioned by Rand Luxury, this Morgan Plus 4 has been restored down to the smallest detail with a fine level of craftsmanship. With a nice sheen from one end to the other, the red body looks great next to the black interior and convertible top. Staying true to the historical looks of the car, restored and mirror-like chrome has been applied sparingly to the bumpers, fuel cap, windshield frame, and a few other components. The leather strap over the engine cowling looks rich and is free of cracking or fading, just like the seats.

Other details make this Morgan a true treasure, like the correct wire spoke wheels and caged headlights. You’ll note the factory controls and gauges are set in a real wood dash, matching the steering wheel rim.

Undo the strap and lift up the front cowling to find a Triumph 2.1-liter four-cylinder engine, which is absolutely sparkling clean. It was a huge leap forward from the previous four-cylinder engines Morgan used, producing a stout 100-horsepower, which is plenty for the lightweight and tight-handling car, leading to plenty of motoring fun. Adding to the engaging, enjoyable experience behind the wheel is a smooth 4-speed manual gearbox.

As a two-seat roadster, this Morgan Plus 4 is sporty and highly desirable. Maintaining a car like this is surprisingly easy, thanks to the Morgan factory providing plenty of support in the way of spare parts, even up to a completely new chassis, not that this car needs additional work.
