This classic muscle car is hot.

At a time when muscle cars roamed streets all over the United States, this 1969 Chevrolet Nova SS hit the scene. Thanks to the development of the Nova being done concurrently with the F-body Camaro for the 1967 model year, the car that before was simply practical had become a performance machine. Using that basis, this specific Nova SS has been built to be even more potent.

First and foremost, this Chevy is all about performance. It really brings it with a 383ci V8 stroker engine with a whole list of upgrades, including an MSD ignition, aluminum heads, and hydraulic competition camshafts. What that amounts to is a peak 450-horsepower. Mated to the engine is a Street Fighter TCI automatic transmission. A new Moser 12-bolt rear and 373 gears make sure the power gets put to the ground.

Other upgrades further enhance performance. The coil-over suspension is adjustable at all four corners, so you can change the setup as needed. Power steering and power brakes help with control, as do front discs.

As you can clearly see in the pictures, custom-painted flames adorn the red exterior on the hood and side panels. They’re a loud declaration that this Nova SS has been modified and is ready to hit the strip for plenty of tire-shredding fun.

The black interior features well-maintained vinyl seats, rubber floormats, and much of the stock setup. Some aftermarket gauges like a large tach with shift light, plus digital readouts for the oil pressure, water temperature, and voltage have been added. There’s also a performance steering wheel and a B&M shifter. Thanks to a more modern stereo, you’re able to listen to your tunes on your terms.

Hollywood Motors, which is selling this car, says receipts for the work put into it are available. If you’re looking for a good way to enjoy some solid performance, this car could very well be your ticket.
