425 cubic inches of personal luxury.

Classic American cars come in all shapes and sizes, but some of the more interesting over the years have been the personal luxury cars. These cars are defined by a two-door design and four-passenger seating, and the 1964 Buick Riviera is one of the coolest to have ever existed. Built to compete against the Ford Thunderbird, the Buick Riviera offered a unique blend of style, performance and luxury, and this particular Riviera looks especially stunning in its factory original Wedgewood Blue paint job.

The condition of this Riviera is amazing thanks to the fact that it was originally purchased in California and spent its entire life out there before heading to Scottsdale, AZ where it's currently up for sale by Classic Car Investments for $32,500. Not only is the body rust free and the interior impressively clean, but underside shots show exactly why West Coast cars are so desirable. Keep in mind that this is an unrestored car with 67,000 claimed original miles and numbers matching engine.

That engine is none other than Buick's 425 cubic-inch Super Wildcat V-8 with dual quad carbs and 360 horsepower, which helped this car to lay down impressive performance for its day. Adding to the collectability of this Riviera, it is equipped with rare options such as the aluminum wheels with two-bar spinners and a posi-traction rear end.

The Riviera had some really killer body lines, but check out that interior. Each seat is about the size of a love seat, and the colors, materials and finishes of this cabin exude top levels of luxury. This car's interior is all original, and those white leather seats are a perfect complement to the baby blue exterior paint. For amenities, the Riviera offered up features like air conditioning, power steering, power windows, power seats and a power trunk release.

You definitely don't see a lot of these first-gen Rivieras around today, and this particular example is exceedingly rare with all of its unique options.
