When it comes to car auctions, New York has historically been an overlooked region even with one of the highest concentrations of wealth and supercars! This fall, Bradford Rand and his teams at RAND Luxury & EXPO International are going change that.
A partial list of auction lots has been released, and there are quite a few impressive vehicles that will cross the auction block. Among them is a 2001 BMW Z8 roadster, a 1970 Mercedes-Benz 280SE Cabriolet 3.5, a 1935 Packard Super-Eight Coupe Roadster, and a 1991 Porsche 911 Turbo. One of the most desirable Ferraris of modern time, a 1991 F40, has also been revealed to be on the list. It was a car created to celebrate the Italian brand’s 40th anniversary and was approved personally by Enzo Ferrari before his death.
Adding to the eclectic yet high-end nature of the event will be a 2010 Tesla Roadster, which also has been revealed as one of the auction lots. Another exotic American electric carm a 2012 Fisker Karma Signature Edition, will also be open to bids.
This auction will be helping a good cause, making it even more compelling. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Nassau County Museum of Art. The museum has a long and interesting history. Situated just 20 miles east of New York City on 145 acres on Long Island’s Gold Coast, it has become a major destination for the public.
