The original look of this Willys Jeepster Overlander has been well preserved, including the original yellow paint. You get to look at the road ahead through the split windshield, while there’s also a Willys marked factory spot light installed on the car.

Black details and strategic brightwork follow the factory specifications faithfully, making this a representation of American ingenuity and style just after WWII. Not only do you get the convertible top for this ride, there are removable side windows, just like with a classic CJ or the modern Wrangler.

While this Jeepster Overlander won’t win any races, the 4-cylinder engine runs strong, having been recently rebuilt. The three-speed manual transmission with factory overdrive adds significantly to the fun factor, keeping you fully engaged in this classic driving experience.

A full restoration was done on this convertible a while ago, so everything is not perfect. The paint wears a few chips, the tires are showing a slight amount of weather damage, a few buttons have pulled through the top boot, a small tear is in the top, plus the backseat has some wear. A little bit of TLC can fix these issues, and you’ll be preserving a piece of American history in the process.

Manufactured from 1948 to 1950, the Jeepster line was supposed to help Willys break into the car business. Production didn’t even reach 20,000 units, meaning this vehicle is quite a rare bird today. As strong interest in the Jeep brand continues, this convertible will no doubt continue to be of interest.
