These Jeep conversions by Bruiser turn the rugged off-roader into a real monster truck

Jeeps are amongst the most rugged off-road vehicles you can buy from a showroom. Their high ground clearance, short overhangs, and all-wheel drive makes them perfect for venturing off the beaten track. However, a stock Jeep does have its limitations, and if you desire to climb a mountain, you’ll need a Bruiser.

Bruiser is a US company that specializes in customizing Jeeps, and can offer you everything from an engine upgrade, to a full-blown conversion. Turning your 4x4 from a capable machine into an unstoppable monster truck is every off-road enthusiasts dream. All you need is a 2007 to 2018 donor car, and some dollars, with Bruiser taking care of the rest.

The JK Crew Fleet Side conversion transforms a standard four-door Jeep Wrangler into a real mean machine. $35,000 gets you the extensive work required to extend the frame of the Jeep, color matched paint, and your choice of a fleet side of a step side bed. The options list is where things get really interesting with toys such as an LS3 motor, heavy duty suspension upgrades, a winch, and fat tires to name a few trinkets.

Another $35,000 option is the Super Cab Step Side which is based on the smaller 2-door Jeep Wrangler. Said to be more nimble than its larger siblings, this single-cab is no less capable with the same extensive list of off-road components available. This Jeep has the added bonus of coming with a custom soft top that can be removed for adventures on sunny days.

If you’re happy to spend a little more, $40,000 will get you what Bruiser calls the Honcho. It’s old-school aesthetic will be appealing to many, as will its four-dour practicality. In addition to the body conversion, customers also get a Chris Durham Motorsports Gladiator front clip, a truck bed with roll bar, and additional interior storage. As with other Bruisers, there’s a lengthy options list to allow you to create your perfect 4x4. Your hardest choice will be picked either the LS3 motor or a Cummins R2.8 Turbo.

However, the daddy of the Bruiser fleet is the $55,000 Overlander which could easily pass as a military vehicle. This no compromise 4x4 is said to be ‘purpose built for the avid off-road family’. It seats six in plenty of comfort while delivering on the capabilities seen elsewhere in the range.

It would appear that 4x4s don’t come much tougher than this.
