Cadillac continued to list its premium Series 62 hardtops as "DeVille" models until the year 1964. The ‘50s models boasted astounding tailfins and iconic body lines. The car is in excellent condition and is ready for a new driver to take it under his/her wing.

The current owner is a busy physician who acquired the car a few years ago from a long-term owner who drove it regularly. This Cadillac Coupe DeVille starts right up, and runs and drives well. It’s even sporting brand-new whitewall radial tires. The car has not been driven much over the last three years, so a comprehensive service cannot hurt. However, Motorcar Studio is not aware of any major mechanical needs; the car is ready to go. The engine feels healthy and the transmission is smooth and responsive.

This 1957 Cadillac Coupe DeVille is dressed in correct-to-the-trim-tag Mountain Laurel with an Alpine White hardtop. The stunning pale pink hue against the bright white roof goes together perfectly. Aside from a Lincoln Continental Mark II or a Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, the Coupe DeVille was one of most luxurious American cars of its time. This example is very well optioned with power steering, power brakes, and power seats. It’s powered by a 365 cubic-inch V8 engine mated to a three-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently reads at 55,934 miles.

The paint and body are very admirable with excellent bumpers, brightwork, trim and glass. All of the panels are straight with the right gaps and the underside is not rusty. The interior features the correct two-tone black and pink color combo and perfectly complements the exterior. The cabin detail is purely immaculate. Features include door panels, carpeting, headliner, dashboard, and seat upholstery all in excellent condition. The steering wheel and gauges look nice as well, with only light patina visible on the interior chrome parts.

It’s hard to imagine another late-1950s American car that offers so much style for this amount of money. This 1957 Cadillac Coupe DeVille would make a lovely addition to any garage whether it be for collection purposes or enjoyment purposes.
