This classic is perfect for cruising with the top down, too.

When you think of classic American cars, it’s easy to focus on more humble roots like the Ford Model T. Detroit was also home to some pretty luxurious rides which transported the affluent from home to country club and anywhere else they wished to go. This 1932 Packard 903 Victoria Super Eight is such a vehicle, easily matching the luxury rides coming out of Europe during that time. It’s through the Classic Car Club of America that a fortunate future owner will acquire this extremely rare ride.

There’s no denying how handsome this classic ride looks with the smooth dark blue paint. It makes the wide whitewall tires really stand out. The front grille, headlight housings, hubcaps, and other brightwork is polished nicely, emphasizing this is a luxurious set of wheels. A nice black convertible top helps complete the exterior look, staying true to the vehicle’s roots. This particular car went through a professional restoration process back in the 1980s and has been well cared-for since. The convertible top was replaced in 2015.

Nestled under that long, stately hood is a 384ci Super 8 engine with Mitchel overdrive. Under 3,000 miles have been put on the engine since it was professionally rebuilt, and the car has been regularly driven, so you don’t need to worry about major mechanical issues.

Packard was an American automaker with a reputation for building extremely luxurious cars that were also quite durable. The 903 Victoria Super Eight was one of the most upscale cars in the Packard lineup. Adding further to the collectability of this Super Eight is the fact it’s the only one documented to have been manufactured in Canada. This car has won three national firsts since it was restored, plus it was on the cover of the July 2016 Classic Car Club of America Bulletin and featured in an article inside.
