Nothing beats a low land yacht restomodded to perfection.

Restomods can be amazing, if they’re pulled off correctly, such as this 1966 Chevrolet Impala. It has a consistently sophisticated look from one bumper to the other, almost as if it rolled off the factory line that way. What’s even better, this ride is hiding a surprising amount of power. That means you can have plenty of fun with this car parked, cruising slow, or really lighting it up, all thanks to Streetside Classics.

This restomod really goes for drop-dead looks with an upgraded black paint job, showcasing all the classic nips and tucks in the body. Absolutely sparkling brightwork provides the perfect contrast, especially on the 18-inch Cragar wheels. Thanks to an air ride suspension, you can lower this Impala until it’s right to the ground, but you can increase the ride height to avoid damage when you’re not rolling slow on smooth blacktop.

Open either long door and reveal the classic red interior with bench seats in the front and rear. While the steering wheel is from the factory, tasteful upgrades abound, like a radio which is styled to look retro but packs all the modern goodies such as Bluetooth. Dakota Digital gauges are easy to read and they add a cool modern touch.

Even people who aren’t car fans will be able to tell this Chevy Impala is packing some serious heat. A 5.7-liter fuel-injected LS1 V8, Airaid cold air intake, BBK 80 mm throttle body, Holley EFI fuel rails, exhaust headers, and a mild performance camshaft upgrade pump things up way past stock. Much of the engine compartment has been blacked out, with some strategic polished or red components adding just the right highlight, so this car shows extremely well. A four-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and vented four-wheel disc brakes make this car easier to drive than you probably suspect.

The 1966 Chevrolet Impala incorporates many of the hallmark GM design traits from the early and mid-1960s, making it an instantly-recognizable classic. One that’s been tastefully restomodded like this one is rare to find, so this ride is quite unique and well-suited for discerning collectors.
