This truck was crawling over rocks long before everyone thought parking on a snow drift in the mall parking lot was cool.

Few classic SUVs can strike fear in the hearts of lesser vehicles while also looking as polished as this 1975 Chevrolet Blazer K5. A nice Classic White with black accents exterior color scheme scores higher on the intimidation scale than many completely black rigs you see today, while still preserving enough classic elements from this historic ride.

As you can clearly tell, this Chevy Blazer rides higher than it did out of the factory, thanks to a nice lift kit. Giving it a further boost and adding strength to the setup are Fox shocks, plus 17-inch M/T alloy wheels with new 37-inch mud terrain tires wrapped around them. That means this rig can take on all kinds of trail conditions and roll over big obstacles without getting hung up, taking you places that before were only a dream destination.

Of course, tough trail conditions require plenty of low-end torque. The 350cid V8 has been rebuilt using Summit Racing pushrods, an upgraded carb, premium pistons, performance camshaft, and other upgrades. It has also been bored and stroked. The new radiator and electric fan guard against overheating, even in extreme conditions, so you can just drive.

Usually people somewhat ignore the interior of classic off-roaders, but that’s certainly not the case. Instead, you get to sit on custom black leather Corbeau sport seats for great support, even during long excursions. Six-point harnesses and a roll cage keep you safe if you get in particularly challenging areas. A decidedly modern vibe comes from the Alpine stereo, customized electronic gauges, plus Bluetooth connectivity for the sound system.

Chevrolet launched the K5 Blazer in 1969, answering the Ford Bronco and International Harvester Scout as a growing number of Americans craved off-road adventures. Today it’s still a favorite of vintage off-roader fans, keeping demand high. Check this one out from GR Auto Gallery.
